runway magazine

You know how every once in a while something new in the fashion world pops up, unexpected but not unwanted?
Take Runway Magazine, for example.
Not only does the magazine feature tons of celebrity interviews, but features new and up-and-coming designers, which is interesting after always reading about the same people. There's a cute little boutique on the site and even a TV channel. The magazine itself is available for viewing online. (Summer 2011.) I know you might think it's the same as any other fashion publication, but I think it's rather different. You have to flip through the issue to see what I mean. It's just different, but in a very positive way. I think more magazines should be like this one. (You will too, especially of you love photography.) If you have compliments about the magazine, you owe them to James Buccelli, the Editor in Chief, and
Eleonora Genieve de Gray, their Art Director.
Why am I writing this so suddenly? Well. FashionsBlogs.com asked me to. Yay ☺. Please let me know what you think of everything!

taking my grad pictures tomorrow

1. straighten hair.
2. get rid of blackheads.
3. pluck eyebrows.
4. sleep enough to avoid more bags under my eyes.
5. get make up done at Dior tomorrow morning. (and spend my money on whatever the make up artist uses, wanting to be able to re-create the same mask.)
6. straighten hair again.
7. pray it doesn’t rain.
8. wish i didn’t live in a world where all of this means i might have a chance at being called pretty.

Omg it's already November. How was your Halloween? At the moment I'm absolutely filled to the brim with Hershey's.

The first term ended yesterday, so now I have to wait in suspense for my marks. That's also why I have time to write this; there are no new assignments yet. I'm going to some kind of career fair tomorrow, so the less time spent in class, the better.
In Italian we're watching this movie called La Vita รจ Bella. (Life is Beautiful.) It's honestly the saddest movie ever, and watching it makes me so depressed!

I wrote an article for the school's newspaper (forgot to mention that - I write the fashion column, obviously) about H&M and Versace's collaboration, which I had kind of forgotten about until now. So much for trying to save money! But besides, I'm way overdue to treat myself to something pretty. Even if the clothes don't come to Canada (sad/angry face), I haven't gone shopping in a while.
Hopefully I can post again soon! ♥

the hiatus is being interrupted

I hate having so much homework! It's not even like I can take a little break to write something on weekends, because I work and then I have to go to all those college open houses and in a few weeks take my graduation picture. (Already booked at Dior.)
Term one is almost over though, so hopefully the projects calm down soon! I don't know about you, but other than reading Vogue or FASHION, music is my therapy. I need to relax with some Jo Calderone.
I know I posted this video already but come on... Is there really such a thing as too much Gaga?

I'll be getting to your comments and I promise I'll try posting a bit more often, even if it's only Polyvore!
Btw, do you have any Halloween ideas? I'm undecided this year but dressing up is a must.

Today's shoe is the leather dance shoe with gold-embossed floral motif by Bally in 1925.

Good thing about shopping on a Tuesday night: you don't have to worry about your size being sold out.

H&M, $60.
I want it to get colder so I have an excuse to wear my new coat, skinny jeans, and knee-high studded boots.
